Journey on relaxation

Today for class we asked to try out a relaxation technique in which we listened to a man with a very soothing voice and music take us on a relaxation journey. We were asked to imagine the blood from our stomachs traveling to our hand and we were suppose to feel our hands become warm and heavy (Which I did). There was a point in the exercise that we were suppose to attempt to lift our hands but should not be able too, this part of the exercise had a little more trouble with because I was able to move them but I was so relaxed that I did not want to. Overall I really enjoyed this exercise and definitively was able to feel myself relax maybe it something that gets better with practice.

Have a great Week!

  1. Hello Rachel! It seems that you had a very positive experience with the relaxation technique. I have yet to complete this part of my course work this week, but am excited to give it a try. Do you think that by not wanting to move your hands, that is what the gentleman meant by not moving them or do you think he meant you physically cannot? Just curious to your take on that.

    1. Hi Jamie
I was not sure, because I did not want to move them but he was saying that it would be difficult and that your hands would feel heavy, I would love to know what your experience was like. Thanks for sharing and reading with me.
